Anonymous asked: Hi! Just off the your last post about Disneyland Paris auditions for face characters; do you know much about them? Is it sort of the same as the US ones? Hope you're having a good day :) (also thanks for clearing that up - I can't imagine Disney being so rude like that!)
Hi! I know quite a bit as they tell you pretty much everything in the auditions. It’s pretty much the same as the US. It’s a full-time job with at least a 3 month contract and you live in Disney accommodation near Disneyland Paris. The only difference I think is the range of characters that DLP has. For example, there’s no Merida :( If you have any other specific questions, let me know! Hope you’re having a good day too :D
Anonymous asked: do you know much about UK auditions? because unfortunately they're pretty awful compared to what US auditions sound like. the people aren't as nice and the atmosphere isn't particularly magical
That’s such a shame!!! I really don’t know anything about them, but that’s horrible that they don’t provide a positive environment there for the auditioners.
In the US I know that the casting people really do want you to succeed, and there’s obviously going to be people who audition who have attitudes and are particularly volatile towards people who move forward in the audition if they didn’t…
Anyway, sorry i’m not much help as far as international auditions are concerned!
Someone I know went to an audition in the UK, and she was asked how many bricks were used to build Cinderella’s castle, and she was, obviously, unsure of the answer. Some other girl next to her answered that ‘it was a trick question because her castle was made of fibre-optic glass’. If that’s not obnoxious, then I don’t know what is. :/ Put me off ever auditioning, to be honest….
wow. that’s totally insane that they were supposed to know something like that. Wow.
This is absolute bullshit. Firstly, in the UK, they audition for Disneyland Paris which has Sleeping Beauty’s Castle, not Cinderella’s. Secondly, I’ve been to 3 Disney auditions in the UK over the last few years and the atmosphere is great. The audition panel is lovely and you are not asked any questions AT ALL. You are auditioned on your animation and dance talent. I hate when I hear all these bad things about Disney auditions. It’s normally a complete lie! Yes, they are cut throat and difficult but that’s because so many people audition every time. The Disney staff are soooo nice and it’s generally really fun.
Check your facts before you spread rumours like that. If you want to know what Disney auditions in the UK are like, feel free to ask questions and I’ll answer honestly.
do i have a crush on you or am i just lonely
do i like you or do i like that you like medo I like you or do I like the idea of you
do i want to be in a relationship or do i just want to prove that i’m worthy of one
are you flirting with me, or can i just not recognize when people are being nice to me
all of the above
